Atlanta Jazz Festival Names Lyft Official Rideshare Provider for 2017 Festival
Partnership includes the Atlanta Jazz Festival Weekend, May 26 – 28 at Piedmont Park, and the lead-up to the Festival, 40 Days of Jazz, beginning April 21
Atlanta – Feb. 13, 2017 – For the first time, Lyft and the Atlanta Jazz Festival are partnering to help make it easier for jazz fans to get to where the music will be this spring. Lyft was named the official rideshare provider for the 2017 Atlanta Jazz Festival, which will take place May 26 – 28 at Piedmont Park and for the pre-festival “40 Days of Jazz” events, which will take place at locations throughout the city from April 21 – May 25.
Lyft will have dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas to provide jazz lovers with a seamless experience as they come and go from the Festival and will offer discount codes to new and existing Lyft customers for use during the Festival weekend. Festival-goers will see Lyft’s logo and signage present throughout the Festival and for the events leading up to the official weekend.
“Lyft is proud to partner with the City of Atlanta to offer music lovers a safe and affordable way to get to the Atlanta Jazz Festival and all of the activities leading up to Memorial Day weekend,” said Sam Bond, GM of Lyft Atlanta. “A big event like this is the perfect time for Atlantans to leave worries about parking and traffic at home and let Lyft get them there and back with no hassle.”
“We know our festival goers will love using Lyft’s hassle-free service to and from our 40 Days of Jazz events around town, and for Festival weekend, when traffic is heavier and parking will likely be at a premium,” said Camille Russell Love, Executive Director – City of Atlanta, Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
