The Atlanta Jazz Festival Seeks Artists with Music Inspired Artwork for 2020 Artist Village
The City of Atlanta’s Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) is seeking exceptional visual artworks to feature in our 2020 Art Village for the 43rd annual Atlanta Jazz Festival. The festival will select the works of artists whose art highlights the legacy and influence of jazz, and its contribution to world culture.
In celebrating not only the music but also the visual components of jazz culture, artworks submitted must have a jazz or musical theme to be considered.
All visual art mediums are encouraged such as drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, sculpture, digitally designed prints, and etc.
Each selected artist will receive a 10ft. x 10ft. artist booth space for the 2020 jazz festival free of charge.
This booth space will include power, a 10ft. x 10ft. tent, an 8-foot long table, and two folding chairs.
Additional furnishings and display materials are the responsibility of the artist.
The booth shall be situated in a prime location designated by the City of Atlanta.
To apply for this opportunity, artists must meet the following requirements:
- Be an Atlanta resident
- 18 years or older
- and have proven visual art experience
Each selected artist will be asked to sign a release form and permit the use of the selected image. If your artwork is chosen, the artwork must have hanging hardware attached to accommodate professional framing or canvas wrapping. If selected artwork is experimental in nature, it must be deemed installation-stable.
We will not install artwork in inferior or damaged frames or deemed unstable.
